I first started with Mary at Precision Pilates over 2 years with a back injury that wasn’t resolving. What I love about Mary is that when you see her it is in a class of a maximum of 4 people so she is able to, and does, give each person individual, specialised attention and treatment such that she is fully satisfied that you are getting the full benefit from each exercise. I have learned from past experience in larger, gym based Pilates sessions that having someone watch you closely, can make all the difference to getting maximum benefit as opposed to none at all from doing exercises incorrectly!
Going to one of Mary’s classes can have the added advantage of camaraderie between participants in a regular class and a few laughs and mutual support (if Mary is conducting an extra challenging class!) which adds another positive element to the experience.
Mary has always looked after the whole body, not just a specific issue which I think is fantastic to help create and maintain a strong body. We always do something different so it is never boring either. My initial back issue is largely a thing of the past but I keep seeing Mary as I am sure that the weekly sessions have helped prevent recurrences and who knows what else!
